At 1pm on March 7th an electrical short simultaneously started the houses on fire in the Kannaigudem village. Infants were screaming. Livelihoods gone. Food burned up. All their earthly possessions were destroyed.
Our partners report, "This is a highly-impoverished village whose inhabitants leave daily to work on farms and fields. Many people were gone at work when the fire broke out, leaving only the most vulnerable - pregnant women, people with disabilities, infant mothers, and the elderly".
The devastation was quick - leaving behind burned properties, terrified villagers, and families in a state of desperation.
Your urgent help is needed to take care of these people’s basic essentials: shelter, food, clothing, and supplies for families affected
