I used to live with my mother, grandmother, 2 sisters & brother in Pune. My father ran away with another woman so all responsibility fell upon my mother and she was forced to get into the flesh trade. Her family does not know about her work, but she felt compelled to continue as she had to feed not only my siblings and me, but also my grandmother.
My mother came to know about Sahaara’s work through her friend and she made a life changing decision to send me to Sahaara hostel so that I can be educated and live a better life. I was a shy and quite child when I first came to the hostel. After several months, I adjusted well and have grown to become an outspoken girl, very affectionate and take active participation in all activities conducted in the hostel.
To assist with my academic performance, I attend tuitions on a regular basis and sit for self-study to ensure I get proper educational foundation.
I am soft spoken and love spending time with my other friends in the hostel. I dream of becoming a pilot one day.
