Josna’s Journey to Nursing School
With a triumphant smile, Josna held up her first nursing school test, showcasing the hard-earned high grade she received.

Each answer on that sheet reflected months of dedication, determination, and seemingly insurmountable obstacles she had overcome. It was a moment anchored in gratitude, a sign that her dream of education was alive and thriving.

But three years ago, moments like this seemed impossible.

The sudden loss of her father had turned Josna’s world upside down. He had been her pillar of strength and her greatest supporter, always encouraging her to pursue her educational dreams. His untimely passing left her family in turmoil. With her mother now the sole provider for five children, survival—not education—became the family’s most pressing priority.

Josna found herself at a crossroads, wondering whether she’d have to leave school and face a life of limitation. The thought of scavenging through garbage as a ragpicker or working in unforgiving conditions seemed dangerously close to becoming her reality.

But thanks to your support, Josna's life took a brighter turn.

Your kindness allowed her to remain in school, covering her admission fees, hostel expenses, and books. That support gave Josna what she so desperately needed at her lowest point—not just the resources to continue her studies, but the hope that she wasn’t alone in her dreams for a better future.

Now, as Josna steps into her crisp white uniform and begins her nursing education, she carries with her immense gratitude for the opportunity given to her.

“I am here, in nursing school, because of you,” she says. “You gave me a chance when everything felt like it was falling apart. Thank you for believing in me.”

Thank you for being part of Josna’s incredible journey.
