...With Milk
What difference can one buffalo make? Daniel and his wife can tell us. They are the parents of four children. They live in a village on a large island in the middle of the Krishna River. For three months each year, Daniel made a living by fishing. The other months, he left the island to find whatever work he could. When he found work, the family ate; when he couldn't, they went hungry. The children would have to beg, and his wife even sold her body to help make ends meet. Their family life was constant worry.
Then India Partners built a church/community center on their island, and two things followed: their family heard the Gospel for the first time, and they were given a water buffalo microloan. The one animal provides enough income to buy modest food and clothes for the entire family. Daniel doesn't have to leave the island to find work anymore. Furthermore, he says he received peace and joy in his heart and the whole family is happy. Daniel says they now have faith that God will help them in times of hunger and need.
More families are awaiting your investment in their lives. Your gift of $395 provides a "buffa-loan" to a village family. Or consider a buffa-loan share of $39. May God bless your kindness.

By the Numbers: 20 families 20 buffaloes 15 new calves
Cows provide milk 6-8 months per year, a valuable source of nutrition and income for the family. When bulls reach four years of age, farmers use them to plow the fields or sell them for a good price. The families are repaying their microloans, happy for the self-sufficiency that their buffaloes are providing them.
